Column Base Carving

GARDEN, STONE CARVING

A delicate stone carving to the base of a column on a garden building. The design is a symmetrical panel of beech leaves, bluebells and dog roses and is carved with a depth for shadows to play and highlight the details. The stone used was a tightly bound sandstone from the North of England to achieve the the fine level of craftsmanship.
